EPE MAPPING (DIGITIZING) SERVICES

• We offer to convert your system maps from "pen and ink" format to digital format including plotting "office" size master copies in color, "wall size" system maps in color as required, and "truck" size field copies in color as required.
  
  
• We also offer to link pole locations in your paper staking sheets maps by associating a database record to each pole. All construction units installed on each pole will be stored in relational database format and associated with each pole shown on the map. Pole inspection history can be stored with each pole. EPE Engineering/Mapping software will tightly integrate your pole inventory database into your total information services system and give you Geographic Information System capability.
  
  
• Conversion of system maps to a digital database from "pen and ink" format will make future maintenance of system maps much more efficient, and use of the EPE Engineering/Mapping software for setup and map maintenance will provide Geographic Information System (GIS) capabilities. The system map will become the storage location of choice for all data describing your electric distribution system. These GIS capabilities will provide a link from the visual map to relational databases that store relevant information about the entity shown on the map. The ability to retrieve data stored in GIS and relational database format will assist system management and engineering in optimizing physical and financial performance.
